CLEANTECH is extremely important to Alsace

Due to Alsace’s geographical proximity to Germany, environmental challenges have gained prominence here.
In Alsace nearly 560 companies are operating in the environmental sector.
More than two thirds of these companies originate from the waste and water management sector.
In addition, several market leaders acclaimed for their expertise in the fields of air treatment and odour neutralization, such as Airépur, Europe Environment and Westrand are also located in the region.

Focus on Water Management

The global water management market records an annual growth of 4 to 5% and is expected to exceed the 1,000 billion euro sales mark by 2020.
In France, Alsace is a key player in this sector. Prestigious international companies in the field of measurement and control technology such as Siemens, Sappel, Bürkert, Endress+Hauser, Huber Technologie and Sewerin are now located in the Alsace region.
