The company Dräger, leading manufacturer of medical and safety technology products, is investing in a new factory in Alsace for the production of protective masks of FFP2/FFP3. These masks are used not only in the medical field, but also in industry, fire brigade and rescue services as well as by civil and military authorities.
With the new production site, Dräger is intensifying its existing presence in France and in the Grand Est region. The company deliberately relies on the local technological competence of the skilled workers in the region. The investment is highly supported by the French authorities, as it will contribute to the objective of achieving a greater independence from imports of medical products to France and Europe.
Founded in 1889 in Lübeck, Germany, the family-owned company Dräger has developed over five generations into a global, listed corporation with 14,500 employees in 190 countries worldwide. The company’s turnover in 2019 was around 2.8 billion euros.
