In Strasbourg, the first French centre for e-health and diabetes (Centre e-Santé et Diabète, CeSD) will open in November 2020 on 700 m2. It will be created by the European Centre for Diabetes Studies (CeeD) and the health care company LNA Santé.
The centre provides long-term out-patient care for patients suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes or other metabolic disorders. It also focusses on the application of preventive measures for vulnerable groups. Innovative methods using a digital medical remote care service will be applied. This digital care service combines the necessary continuous monitoring with a greater autonomy of patients which improves their quality of life efficiently and holistically. The project is thus in line with the health policy objectives of the region Grand Est for an efficient expansion of the medical system, including innovative methods, and more health prevention.
